Asís Ybarra

Born and raised in Madrid, I moved to London in 2009 to undertake a foundation course in Graphic Design at the London College of Communication and read a joint BSc in Mathematics and Psychology at Queen Mary University of London. Currently I’m a Fine Art student at the Universität der Künste in Berlin.

I understand art as a process, I see an artwork as an insight into the complex process of art. I am interested in generating encounters that invite the viewer to question the nature of art, and transform this questioning into the artwork in itself.
Can we create art through the mere expectation of art to take place?
Can art be the result of a mental process, such as a thought or an inquiry?
